Pink Poached Pears in WineAdd To My Recipes
3/4 cup red wine
1/3 – 1/2 cup sugar
dash of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons Heaven & Earth Beet Juice, for color
water to cover
For the Sauce
Combine all ingredients for sauce.
Place pears in sauce and refrigerate overnight.
Poach the Pears
Cook pears in sauce for 30-45 minutes or until tender.
